Join us at the Sacred Circle Gallery Saturday May 9 2026 2 to 5 PM
United Indians of All Tribes Foundation invites you to a special artist reception featuring Zuni Pueblo and Chinese Indonesian artist Mia Sutanto. Held in conjunction with our annual Mother’s Day Native Art Market this event offers a unique opportunity to meet the artist and experience her newest solo exhibition “Anywhere But Here” currently on view at the Daybreak Star Indian Cultural Center!
About the Event
The reception will feature an artist talk and a chance to view Sutanto’s powerful 2 D digital art and paintings. Her work explores themes of femininity mixed cultural identity and mental health awareness. Through a striking use of the color red Sutanto explores how anger can be a transformative and healthy emotion while drawing attention to the strength of Indigenous women and the responsibility to protect ancestral lands.
Special Announcement
We are thrilled to share that a signature piece from this exhibition will be the featured artwork for our 37th Annual Indian Days Powwow flyer.
