Daybreak Star’s Forest Garden Community Tending

Join us for Forest Garden Community & Land Tending Days at the Daybreak Star Indian Cultural Center.

This is more than gardening—it’s an opportunity to support Indigenous food sovereignty, culture, and connection. You’ll work alongside community members and the United Indians of All Tribes Foundation to tend to traditional plants like camas and huckleberry, centering thousands of years of Indigenous knowledge and relationships with the land.

The plants grown here nourish elders, youth, families, and ceremony, serving as acts of resistance and healing. Come help us build a better future rooted in culture, care, and connection!

  • Date & Time: October 23rd & 24th, 11:00 AM – 2:30 PM
  • Location: The Daybreak Star Indian Cultural Center

All are welcome! You don’t need gardening experience, just a willingness to learn and show up with care. Tea and refreshments will be provided!

What to Bring:

  • Water Bottle
  • Gloves
  • Layers
  • Good Heart & Mind
