Native American Foster Care Support Group

NAFC Support Groups is a Native American Foster Care Support Group, sponsored by United Indians, Casey Familys Program and Fostering Together. Our group is for Foster Parents, Adoptive Parents, and Relative Caregivers whom are taking care of Native American Foster Care children.

We meet every 4th Wednesday of each month at Casey Family Programs in Seattle, WA. Our meeting times are from 6:30pm-8:30pm. At our group Caregivers receive 2 hour foster care training credits, and for the children we provide cultural activities. Each month we provide a nutritious meal for our families who attend.

This group is created because of the many requests of folks that wanted a group more north of King county, and couldn’t attend the Cowlitz group because it was a bit too far south. Also requests to have a meeting other than a second of Wednesday of each month.

Have you ever considered of becoming a licensed Foster Parent? If so, then you too are also encouraged to attend. Foster Care Licensing professionals from United Indians and Casey Family are present each month to answer questions about the process of becoming licensed.
