Summer Joy is the LULAC (League of United Latin American Citizens) District 3 Executive Board Treasurer. LULAC is the oldest and largest LatinX civil rights organization in the US. She is an influencer, an activist and a community organizer for the LatinX community. Summer Joy is an expert with online communication, all of her studies have been online and thus prepared her for remote organizing. She is most recognized for civil disobedience actions from 2016-2020.
Gonzalez planned and organized ICE raid responses in Paris, TX, Allen, TX, & Canton, MS. She also led humanitarian crisis relief for families who were being separated at the border. Gonzalez developed relationships and implemented strategies with multiple non-profits to triage the man made humanitarian crisis.
